EMI Calculator does NOT require you to create an account. All personal financial details (Income, Expenses, Debt) are stored strictly locally in your device's secure database. We do not transmit, sell, or store your financial profile on our servers.

Welcome to EMI Calculator. Your financial privacy is our highest priority. This policy outlines our data handling practices, specifically explaining how we treat information entered within our "Loan Decision Assistant" and "Eligibility" features.

1. Data Collection & Usage Policy

We believe in total transparency. Our app handles data in two distinct ways:

  • User-Provided Financial Data: Information you enter (such as Monthly Income, EMIs, Expenses, and an optional Full Name) is used solely to generate calculations and financial health reports. This data is stored in a local Room Database on your device. We have no access to this information.
  • Calculation History: Your saved loan calculations are stored locally. You have full control to delete individual records via long-press or clear all data by uninstalling the app.
  • No Cloud Synchronization: We do not offer cloud backup for your financial profiles to ensure your sensitive data never leaves your physical device.

2. Permissions and Their Necessity

To provide a professional utility experience, we request the following permissions:

  • READ / WRITE EXTERNAL STORAGE Report Export: Required to generate and save your professional Loan Repayment Schedule and Eligibility Reports as PDF files in your device’s "Documents" folder.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS User Alerts: Used to notify you when a multi-page PDF generation is successful or when an analysis is complete.
  • INTERNET App Functionality: Required for fetching localized currency formats and standard third-party diagnostic reporting.

3. Third-Party Services & Analytics

While we do not collect personal data ourselves, we utilize industry-standard SDKs to keep the app free and stable:

  • Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID to show relevant ads. You can reset this ID in your Android Settings.
  • Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: These services collect anonymous technical data (e.g., device model, OS version, and crash logs). This helps us identify bugs and improve the user experience. No personal identification or financial data is included in these logs.

4. Data Safety & Deletion

Because your data is stored locally, you are the sole owner of your information:

  • Manual Deletion: You can delete any saved calculation in the "History" tab at any time.
  • Complete Wipe: Uninstalling the application or "Clearing App Data" in Android Settings will permanently delete all your financial profiles, history, and settings from the device.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

EMI Calculator is a tool designed for adults and students of finance. We do not knowingly collect or request information from children under the age of 13.
